Developing Intuitive Awareness

Spiritual Healing combined with Psychotherapy
This experiential workshop will introduce ways in which healing and spiritual awareness can facilitate the process of psychotherapy. Easily learned practices can connect you to your higher self and deeper spiritual awareness. The combination of spiritual healing with psychotherapy is far more effective than either treatment alone.
Healing relaxations, meditations, imagery, and biological energy approaches will be introduced that can contribute to healing of body, emotions, mind, relationships, and spirit.
(This workshop can follow the lecture with the same title.)

Most of us have had intuitive awarenesses of something far vaster and wiser than ourselves. This might come during prayer or meditation, through communing with nature, in moments of ecstasy or of pain and dire distress. Words are inadequate to describe this "vast something".

Spiritual awareness and spiritual healing
Most of us have had intuitive awarenesses of something far vaster and wiser than ourselves. We may call it God, Buddha, Allah, Christ, the Goddess, or simply feel it as an Infinite Source of energy, love, or all-knowing consciousness. This awareness might come during prayer or meditation, through communing with nature, in moments of ecstasy or of pain and dire distress. Words are inadequate to describe this "vast something.".
Dr. Benor will share various ways of experiencing and exploring our connection with this Infinite Source through descriptions of experiences, stories, and simple but profound experiential exercises. Exercises can range from easy meditative awareness --compared to ordinary awareness -- and may extend through self-healing awareness meditation and into healing meditation for others and for the planet.
Clearing the vessel through which healing flows
Daniel Benor, MD will discuss some of the many ways in which spiritual awareness and healing are manifested into consciousness and being. Experiential exercises will be introduced for developing spiritual awareness and for clearing the vessel of the caregiver so that healing may flow more clearly and cleanly as and where it should. These approaches are also good for helping careseekes to clear their own vessels.

Stress Prevention and Treatment I: Relaxation, Imagery, and Meditation
A human being is a vessel that can hold just so much stress before it spills over into irritability, poor concentration, anger outbursts, and depression. De-stressing can prevent work errors, over-reaction with family, friends and colleagues, poor decisions, and regrettable mistakes. De-stressing can also improve health and job performance-both physical and psychological.
Daniel Benor, M.D. has taught methods of de-stressing for 20 years. This presentation will be experiential -- including easily learned, potent exercises that participants can use immediately.
Stress Prevention and Treatment II: Releasing Traumatic Experiences
Traumatic experiences may leave psychological scars of tensions, irritability, temper outbursts, difficulties sleeping, depression, and lead to difficulties getting along with family and people on the job.
Daniel Benor, M.D. will introduce new methods that rapidly release psychological scars from traumas and leave you free to approach each day and each situation with a clean slate. These methods are helpful to people in high stress jobs. They are also enormously helpful to victims of crimes, assaults, and abuse. This presentation will be experiential-including easily learned, potent exercises that participants can use immediately.

Forgiveness in Healing of Self and Relationships
Letting go of anger, hurt and rsentment are essential first steps in healing ourselves and our relationships. In order for full healing to occur, these must be followed by forgiveness.
Forgiveness is not about forgetting one's distress, nor about not holding accountable the perpetrators and others who offended or hurt us. Forgiveness is about coming to an understanding of the circumstances and situations of those who hurt us - often having experienced hurt, trauma and abuse themselves, and having lacked awareness and coping mechanisms for dealing with their own pains, angers and resentments.
This experiential workshop will include personal sharing of participants' stories with other group members who have had similar experiences. You will learn skills for dealing with the residues of your mistreatment, including WHEE, gestalt therapy and journaling.
Registration for this workshop will include submission of a letter explaining your reasons for attending and a telephone discussion to clarify how this workshop can best serve your needs.
